Want a fresh new look for fall? How about the burnt end hair color trend that can sun-kiss your tresses so you look like an A-lister who just stepped off the red carpet? Everyone from Kristen Stewart, to Halle Berry, to your Jessicas Biel and Alba have sported them. You also have your Kates, including Beckinsale and Kate Hudson – who has actually tried several variations on the burnt end hair theme.

The concept is simple. It is basically bleaching your hair ends a different color from your top and middle sections of hair. It can be a stark contrast in color; or, if you have your hair professionally colored, you can beautifully graduate from dark to light.

One of the many beauties of the burnt end hair color is that it can work with any length and on any texture. It complements every hair color too. So go traditional with something like a caramel hair color with golden highlights ending in bleached tips.

You can achieve the burnt end hair look with colorful ends too. Go crazy with neon or choose subtle, softer shades for a somewhat more natural look. Choose a striking combination of silver ends on black. Go mermaid with teal on blonde. Blondes look pretty with light pink ends too; and purples and blues are gorgeous on brunettes.

By the way, girls don’t get to have all the fun. Guys can rock some hot burnt ends too!
